Abstract
Hybrid development approaches promise to entail the advantages of both agile and traditional techniques. Still there is no consensus on how a combination can look like and therefore a lot of variants and interpretations of hybrid can be found in literature. This paper presents a list of 23 development approaches and suggests criteria for categorizing the findings. This should enable a proper discussion on defining hybrid and how a combination of agile and traditional techniques can look like in the future.
